I am bored in the lead up to the next Beta and eventual game launch. Animal Crossing and replaying the older FFs hasn't really filled the gap. So here is my character's RP profile. It's a work in progress, like most things in life.

Thaddeus Flyer.

My name is Thaddeus Flyer - my friends call my Thad, although I don't have many.

I hail from a restaurateur family in Limsa Lominsa. Our life was all about food! We traded with farmers & fishermen and prepared fresh meals in a small bistro by the lower docks. My older brother was my idol, he sometimes got to travel with my uncle to Ul'dah and came back with amazing stories of life in the desert city.

When I was 16 my brother left in the middle of the night to become an adventurer. He had left me a letter apologizing for his departure and urged me to stay and help my parents with their business.

I lost myself in work at the bistro until I met Thalgyr Berdthun. He was the son of a wealthy farmer in La Noscea and quickly stole my heart. His dream was to become an adventurer and he asked me to accompany him to Ul'dah. I wanted to use the opportunity to find my brother, but ultimately chose to stay in Limsa Lominsa. My responsibilities were with my family. I am not brave like Thalgyr or my brother.

After the Battle of Carteneau I can't clearly remember my brother's face or name. His letter and a few vague memories are the only reminders of what I have lost. My parents gave me leave to find my brother. I met up with Thalgyr in Ul'dah and we have traveled across Eorzea looking for clues to his fate and the other Warriors of Light.

Hey. I haven't decided on what kind of character I want to play. I tried playing a Lalafel and a Roegaydyn. I am definitely not playing a Miqote because there are too many.

Is this guild going to be all roleplaying? Or can we talk about real life stuff too?

We're not on a server dedicated to roleplaying (Balmung, Gilgamesh), so I don't see roleplaying as the be-all end-all of seriousness. It's more of something to do for fun to make your character fit in the world. I think there's room for both depending on interest.

I love your signature BTW. Orange is the New Black was fun to watch! I can't wait to see what they do for Season 2.

OK. I made up a backstory. Its not good yet but I tried to make it interesting. I shortend his name to BI until release so nobody steals his name if they think its cool.

BI is a hellsgard mercenary from Uldah. He isn't magical like other hellsguard so he uses his fists to solve problems instead of his brains. His favorite food is spicy chicken and he likes funny pictures of cats. People think that BI is stupid because he likes to fight and doesn't talk much. His brains are made for science and not magic making him a logical person.
