Welcome to Liquid Sunshine!

We are an LGBT+ friendly Linkshell community on the Ultros world server. As a small startup we are looking forward to having many fun adventures in Eorzea. There are a few rules and expectations to go over to make sure everyone is on the same page. Being LGBT isn't required to join this guild, we welcome people of all backgrounds. We just ask that you be respectful when interacting with others.

1. Respect

Understand that we all have different personalities. We’re all wired differently, and we all have different goals. Some people are new to FF XIV and possibly to MMORPGs in general, others are grizzled veterans from many other games. Liquid Sunshine was started for fun and we want everyone who joins to have a sense of pride and belonging to the community. Please be respectful of your fellow players and help them out whenever possible.

2. Teamwork

TEAM means Together Everyone Achieves More! Realize that people rarely get anywhere all by themselves. That's why we join guilds - to achieve as a group the things we can't achieve individually. We have all had someone who has helped us at some point along the way. Help “pay it forward” by supporting the people in the community. If someone asks for help and you can do something about it, don't just ignore them - offer to help them! The success of the Liquid Sunshine community depends on the involvement and contribution of each of its members.

3. Interaction

The better we know each other, the stronger our community. Get involved and you will have a more enjoyable experience on your adventures in Eorzea! Use the Linkshell and (eventually, maybe) Free Company chat when you are in the game. Read the forums and get to know the people on there. New friendships happen every day.

Swearing is not technically banned, but we ask that you choose your vocabulary carefully and deliberately. Let's be mature about this, if every second word you say is a swear, then there is a problem. Otherwise the occasional cuss words add to the flavour of our conversational experience in Eorzea. When we get wiped out on a mission, it's okay to express yourself with the F* word. We understand that shit happens. Also, there is a filter in the game options to hide swears if you don't want to see colourful language.

Hostility and blatant rudeness toward other players (especially those outside Liquid Sunshine) reflects badly not only on you, but us as a community. If you are frustrated with the game and hating the world - take a break. Don't ruin someone else's day because you are having a bad one.

Homophobia, sexism and racism are not permitted. Please be considerate of other people's religious beliefs as well. As a community we are not here to promote hatred and intolerance, we are here to go on adventures and have fun!

4. Forums

The rules on the forums are the same as the rules everywhere else: be respectful. Don't troll the forums, don't link to copyrighted materials, don't spam, don't post pornographic images.

5. Events

(Times posted for events will show up on the schedule in your local time!)

We are a new community on a new server and will build events to the best of our ability. They will fall under two categories - Linkshell events and, if there is enough interest, Free Company events. None of the events posted will be mandatory. First and foremost our mission is to adventure together, help each other out and to have fun!

For Linkshell events we will be pretty active in doing everything from quests, FATES, guildhests and crafting - to dungeon crawling and fighting Primals. For many of us this is our first time playing through the game. As such let's do our best to help out other people in this community so we can all improve throughout the game.

Some events will be planned far in advance. Others will be last minute. We will do our best to post events on the calendar, not just talk about them on the forums. If you have an idea for an event or want to do something as a community, speak up! Everyone is welcome. We are a small community right now and the more fun we have together, the better!

As we proceed in the game, Liquid Sunshine will start a Free Company if there is enough interest. Free company events will be more structured and will focus on crafting, dungeons, raids and end-game content. It's a big decision for some people to join a Free Company since you can only be in one at a time. Remember that all people want and need to experience success. We should be welcoming of all players and respect that we all have different skill sets and skill levels.

6. Signing Up

Interested in joining? Registration is easy - you can fill out an "application" under the recruitment tab at the top of the page. Of course you are welcome to adventure with us in-game without registering on Guildwork. But why wouldn't you register? If you have any further questions feel free to message any of the admin or post in this forum to ask.
